Maggie is a trusted sports business and strategy consultant, a regular media contributor and event speaker and co-host of the Expected Goals podcast on the business of women’s football. She is the former CEO of pioneering fan-owned football club, Lewes FC, driving record-breaking attendances, earning awards for fan engagement and generating significant commercial growth. Maggie was a member of the FA Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship Board between 2021 and 2024 as the leagues transitioned out of the FA into the WPLL. In 2023, she made the BBC Women’s Hour “Power List” of the thirty most influential women in sport in the UK.
Maggie’s reputation for integrity is founded on her prior human rights and good governance senior advocacy and policy roles at Transparency International, Amnesty International, and Minority Rights Group International. She is co-founder of Equal Playing Field, a non-profit organisation promoting opportunity, equality and respect for women and girls in football, and has a number of footballing Guinness World Records to her name including for the highest altitude football match ever played, at the top of Mt Kilimanjaro.
